About Lori Raimondo

In 2006, Lori Raimondo took to the road, driving cross country from her parents’ home in San Diego to New York City raising money for breast cancer research.  Her trip was in honor of her mother, Lorraine Raimondo, who died of breast cancer months prior. Her goal was to raise $9,490 – a dollar for every day her mother battled breast cancer. She exceeded her goal and created memories of a lifetime which were captured in her blog, Road to a Cure.  (RoadToACure.BlogSpot.com)

No stranger to the road trip, Lori got the travel bug from her Mom and Dad. Each year while growing up, her parents and 3 siblings would load into the car and head out on the highway taking in every tourist destination along the way. Early every morning her dad would come into their hotel room armed with every tourist brochure from the lobby planning the adventures for the day. They saw the most beautiful of places and some wacky roadside novelties too. Lori has been to every state except Alaska and reckons she’s been to every wax museum too.

Lori will be driving for KEY TO THE CURE in memory of her mother and all the women affected by cancer.
